Elephant in the classroom

The touting of altruism towards children has been used for centuries to advance political purposes and the ideas of individuals or groups. All too often the well-being of children was little more than a cliche call-to-action to be dropped en route once the underlying goal came within grasp. With the past predicating the future, not all initiatives surrounding children can be assumed to be entirely benevolent or beneficial at all to children.

As anyone knows who has approached the subject of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) being a part of classroom lectures, there are some serious concerns regarding the agenda. The education system throughout Canada has mandated the subject of SOGI into the curriculum of the school districts for all grades. Teachers have to use materials provided by the province and school districts to present the controversial ideology to students.

Many teachers became teachers to advance children in a positive way such as with languages, arts, mathematics, sciences, trades, physical education, and subjects that enrich the lives of healthy students. Teachers shape the future of a country, as the children being taught are the future of the country. The responsibility is enormous and has been overshadowed by a stealth subject.

At a recent public meeting regarding the future of the school district in Prince George, teachers were addressing retention, and commitment. Fear was mentioned several times by the panel, however the discussion of what is causing the fear was not. Teachers are forced to teach sexual and gender ideology to their students and those who do not agree with the age-appropriateness of the subject matter or question the nature of the content are seen as not in alignment to the school district, and feel risk to their professions.

The real fear for teachers is losing their jobs; being labeled a bigot or racist; being shamed as homophobic or a prude; compromising their futures in their occupation; and incurring hate. Many Teachers are aware of their responsibility in their profession and their role in the future of the children they teach, and — regardless of their personal leanings — view the subject matter of SOGI as not a fundamental scholastic subject. School districts are funded by a taxpayer base who entrust that curriculum reflects fundamental scholastic subject matter.

Ideology or indoctrination?

Is the actual purpose of teaching SOGI merely inclusion? Is it the children who benefit? Following the money to the pharmaceutical corporations gives insight to the agenda and its perpetual funding. The business of transitioning kids is a multi-billion dollar industry with a new and endless revenue stream.

The education system in Canada has been deceived into believing that SOGI is about inclusivity. “Inclusivity” is a buzzword that pushes a billion-dollar agenda with a marketing scheme that has been successful as it has indoctrinated so many into believing it unites children together.

Even politicians throughout Canada have been promoting the ideology in chorus, but why? Pharmaceutical corporations make large donations to these politicians’ campaigns.

The plans of the politicians have no room in the classroom

Pharmaceutical-paid media have been publishing and broadcasting the marketing agenda of the corporations they serve and deceiving Canadian people into believing they must support it too. How many programs do you see that are sponsored by pharmaceutical corporations?

The innocence of children

Once taken, the innocence of children cannot be restored. Children need their individualism supported. Individuality has nothing to do with sexuality, it has to do with their unique characteristics; their ideas; their talents; their interests; their thoughts; their works; and what they create. Scholastics — not sexuality  —  supports their individualism and their development to full potential and future success.

  1. What’s more important? The well being of our children or a teachers pay cheque or his/ her reputation.. it is time they get their priorities straight.. united we stand divided we fall

  2. I just saw a copy of PG School District 57’s SOGI calendar. It’s very disturbing. Is there anyone who can organize a walk in conjunction with #1 Million March 4 children on September 20th?
